Israel Shipping & Price Tracker ("the extension") is a browser extension that lets you track Amazon products and receive alerts for free shipping to Israel and for price drops. This policy explains what data it handles.
By default, the extension stores on your own device (via
chrome.storage.local) the items you choose to track:
product title, ASIN, URL, price, shipping text read from the page, and your
chosen alert settings (free-shipping and/or price target).
If you explicitly enable cross-device sync in Settings, Chrome stores a slim
copy of product identity and alert settings in chrome.storage.sync
through your signed-in Chrome account. Current prices, sellers, images,
shipping observations, and check errors remain local. The developer cannot
access your synced data and operates no sync server.
The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no remote server operated by the developer. No data ever leaves your device except the Amazon requests described below or optional Chrome Sync.
To check tracked items, the extension requests Amazon product pages
(*.amazon.com) directly from your browser, using your existing
Amazon session, and reads the shipping and price information from those
pages. These requests go only to Amazon, not to any third party.
As an Amazon Associate, the developer of this extension earns from
qualifying purchases. The extension includes the developer's Amazon
Associates tag (nelon-20). It is appended only to Amazon product
links that you choose to open from the extension's popup or
from one of its notifications.
This never changes the price you pay. The tag is never injected into Amazon pages while you browse, is never added to links you follow on Amazon itself, and the extension earns nothing from simply tracking an item. The extension's popup carries an "Affiliate disclosure" notice linking here, and the same disclosure is shown in full on its Amazon product-page panel, on its settings page, and on every notification it sends.
storage (save tracked items locally), alarms
(schedule periodic checks), notifications (show alerts), and
offscreen (parse fetched Amazon HTML with the browser's
DOMParser), plus
host access to *.amazon.com (read shipping/price on product
pages). No other sites are accessed.
